Many men have donned the Mandalorian armor of the most feared bounty hunter in the galaxy and they will be on stage together to discuss the mythology of the man whose exploits are the stuff of science fiction legend. 


12:15-1:15 The Voices of Batman: Kevin Conroy and Will Friedle

Batman may well be the most recognized and revered superheroes in the world. Bruce Wayne’s alter ego is a fan favorite all over the world and his legend has outlived even his own creators. As an animated character, he is even more powerful and engaging and voice actors Kevin Conroy and Will Friedle have each contributed to the mythos of the Dark Knight. The DC Universe was crafted by many hands, but few have had the impact of Neal Adams. Learn the ins and outs of buying, selling, and collecting vintage toys with Travis Landry. Travis teaches the tricks and tips of the trade in what to look for, what to buy, and where to find it. A true collector at heart this is one panel any fan won’t want to miss. Travis Landry is a television personality and antiques and collectibles expert. Travis was a reoccurring cast member on Travel Channel’s Toy Hunter and a host and producer of two seasons on RIPBS Antiques Alley. 


3:45-4:45 Creating Worlds with Chris Claremont

For nearly 50 years, one comic writer has been creating some of the most amazing stories ever committed to the comic page - Chris Claremont. Famous for his unprecedented 16 year run writing Marvel’s X-Men, during which the Dark Phoenix, the Mutant Massacre, and the X-Tinction Agenda stories took place, Claremont remains one of the most distinguished comic writers working today. Join him as he talks about his inspiration, process, and current projects.

1:30-2:30 Limitless Cosplay: Cosplay Your Way to Self Love

Panelists: Jax Adele, Sasha Ballz, Brandon the Shapeshifter, and Harley Bean

The world is in a gender identity, sexual orientation, and body image standards revolution. Whether they intend to or not, cosplayers often find themselves at the center of this revolution. Sometimes artists choose to play characters of a different race, of a different gender, or with a different sexual orientation. When we make such choices as artists to break from tradition, how are we received – both at conventions and on the internet? This panel will discuss self-identification as it relates to cosplay. Why do we choose the characters we play? What can we learn about not only our identities, but our culture, by audience reaction? How can we turn negative reaction into strength? Audiences should leave feeling empowered and ready to use cosplay to explore who they are.

Being a nerd is now a multigenerational endeavor! What do parents who were nerds do now that they have kids of their own? How can parents navigate the complex waters of geekdom to both share their own love of nerd culture and understand the 21st Century geek world of their kids? Join the members of the League of Extranerdy Parents and special guest Tami Stronach, who played the Child-like Empress in the classic film The Neverending Story, as they talk about what it is to be a nerdy parent and how they have taken on the challenges they’ve faced.

Despite Geek culture being at the forefront of popular culture today, many young Comic Con lovers feel isolated in their school community. With bullying of young people on the basis of their interests being one of the most challenging problems to overcome, how can students create a safe place to share what they love with like-minded peers? Students from the North Providence High School come together to talk about how they built their "Nerd Herd" and how it has done just that. They share their stories on how bringing like minded people together can not only create a barrier against outside negativity but also help build confidence and self-respect.

From the One Ring to Excalibur, magical objects are central to many fantasy stories. What makes magical objects so appealing? What are some things to keep in mind when creating magical objects? The Weekly Pull is a group of comic book fans that come together weekly to discuss new Marvel and DC comic releases. We also have roundtable discussions on Marvel and DC Comics, as well as discussions on past, present, and upcoming comic book films. The Weekly Pull Live panel will feature Benny the Comicstorian, Sal from ComicPOP!, and Rob from Comics Explained on YouTube. Are Neville’s parents actually communicating with him through those gum wrappers? What’s up with the locked door in the Department of Mysteries? Let’s talk Harry Potter like it’s 2006. Covering safety, the different uses for these awesome props, and how to get your foot in the door of this solid community, we will be discussing a vast array of topics to complete your lightsaber training and ensure your way onto the Academy! Included will be step-by-step motions, flow, and science of performing simply lightsaber spins and dueling techniques to build a solid foundation. Whether you're a beginner or have been with Star Wars since the beginning, come enjoy the lightsaber showcase after the panel!

Cosplay is an art form that has come into the public consciousness more and more over the last 20 years. Now it is as much a part of Comic Con as celebrities and comic creators. No show would be complete without the amazing costuming talents of cosplayers. In recent years, many of these real life superheroes have been using their powers for good, visiting hospitals to cheer up sick children, attending fundraising events to raise money for charities, and helping to promote social change. How does cosplay connect with causes and how can cosplayers join the fight to help make the real world a better place? Remember what it's like being a kid of the 1990s watching Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network? Are you someone who feels that comedy in animation, puppetry and slapstick movies aren't as good as it was back in the 1990s or decades before? Do you yearn for nostalgia of the good stuff and perhaps stuff only cult following knows about? You’re not alone. In fact, it's quite possible to bring back and revive the good stuff thanks to technology, independent media, a loving fan base and a heart for the art. Also the panel will talk about how fans keep this wonderful art alive. Just look at how The Three Stooges are still known to this day. And how it's all about the love for retro art which artists and fans share and celebrate. In the age where genre rock bands old and new can sell directly to the fans, new-filmed media with that old fashioned spirit is the next thing. No longer will artists need to submit pitches to corporate businesses and be told what to do. Many great shows got canceled due to ratings and executive power. Today art can live as long as the fans want it too.





11:00-12:00 Cosplay Workshop: Foam Armor Workshop

In this workshop, attendees will learn the basics and some advanced techniques on working on cosplay armor and prop building from veteran costume maker and cosplayer Raymond Ramos. The workshop will cover the use of such materials as EVA and Craft Foam, Wonderflex, and Worbla. Sculpting and casting techniques will be in the mix during this session. In the end, attendees will gain the tools and knowhow to go out and build costumes and props of their own.


12:15-1:15 Spirit Connections Gallery Readings with Spirit Medium Tiffany Rice

Join Tiffany as she connects with your loved ones in spirit. With love and light humor, Tiffany will connect with random audience members. Allowing validation and messages from your loved ones to flow through. Please note, not everyone will receive a reading.


1:30-2:30 Cosplay Workshop: Wig Styling 101

Always wanted to tackle wig but don't know where to start? This workshop will introduce the basic construction of a wig, including fiber types, basic wig styling, cutting, adding wefts, and using foamcore to build height and shape. Sample materials will be shown in the panel for greater understanding along with several wigs brought in for display.


2:45-4:15 Cosplay Workshop: Hands On Molding and Casting

Presented by veteran cosplayer Brian Anderson. Come learn how to make a silicone mold of an object, then produce resin castings from that mold. We'll be doing all of the work right here in the workshop! Please be aware that you will be working with liquids. We will provide gloves, goggles and ponchos, but we cannot be responsible for any accidental damage to clothing.

It’s more than a television show; it’s a phenomenon. Few television series in history have found themselves so quickly ingrained into the modern culture like The Walking Dead. In this sure to be amazing panel, join guest moderator Clare Kramer as she speaks with members of the show’s cast and gets to the heart of what it is like to be part of something so influential. Featuring John Bernthal, Michael Rooker, Scott Wilson, and Seth Gilliam.

Since 1963, The Doctor has been flying through time and having adventures on our television sets. In the battle for spiritual dominance, two organizations rise to the top of the spooky ladder, The Ghost Hunters and The Ghost Facers. Join celebrity moderator Tiffany Rice as she presents a ghastly smackdown between these two frightening fighting teams. Featuring the Ghost Facers, otherwise known as A.J. Buckley and Travis Wester from Supernatural and Rhode Island’s own Jason Hawes and Steve Gonsalves from The Ghost Hunters.


12:00-1:00 Mike Grell: A Retrospective

Mike Grell has been an artist for DC since 1973 and his experience makes him one of the most illustrious comics creators of all time. He’s drawn Batman, Superman, Green Arrow, and The Flash but is probably best known as the creator and artist of The Warlord. He will be live on stage talking about his career, past and present, and giving an insider look into the comic drawing process.


1:15-2:15 How to Be a YouTube Star

Having a career as a YouTuber is not as simple as pointing a camera at yourself and talking. It takes production, writing, and a genuinely good idea. YouTube stars from CinemaSins and the Super Beard Bros take the stage to give aspiring Internet celebrities tips on how to make their dreams of fame a reality.

Renowned Hasbro toy artist Roger Andrews explores art in the world of toys and what it takes to make the next toy sensation. This panel will feature on-screen live drawing by Roger Andrews, a Q&A with the audience, and art giveaways. Moderated by The Geek Generation's Rob Logan.


3:00-4:30 King of Comic Con

Are you up for the challenge? 18 players will be chosen to compete in four rounds of amazing comic con challenges, one to be dubbed King of Comic Con! The first round, contestants are given 95 seconds to answer as many question as they can. The second round, contestants are teamed up to answer random questions from comics to video games to anime and anything in between. The third round sees the teams broken up and have to guess the theme music. The final round is Pocky stacking! Prizes will be awarded to the top three winners and all participants will get a gift bag for participation.

In the past few years costume hobbyist have been seeking out new ways in making high quality props. With a head cast you can create perfectly fitting cowls, helmets, and just about any facial prosthetics. The head cast it the first thing you need to make form-fitting props. This live demo veteran cosplayer Kevin Vanderbeck will be going over all the steps and procedures to have a full head cast.
