Cosplay Contest Details & Rules

Cosplay contest sign-ups open Saturday Morning! The contests will be held on Sunday afternoon.

Head to the Info Booth on the third floor of the convention center near the connector to the Omni Hotel.

Official Rules

Each contestant must have a badge/wrist band to the convention and adhere to the convention’s costume and prop policies.

All costumes in the adults tier must be at least 50% handmade or altered and

each entrant in the adults tier must pre register to guarantee their spot.

We will accept up to 45 entrants for the Adult Division (ages 13 & up) and up to 30 entrants for Kids Division (ages 12 and under).

Entrants in the adults tier must be on site, in costume, and ready to go at least 45 minutes before their contest. The room will be open and ready for staging one hour before the contest. Entrants in the Kids Division should show up 20 minutes before, for a “relaxed rules” celebration of cosplay!

If you need any assistance you may have one person to help you.

No nudity and no profanity. That includes messages on signs, bad language or clothes.  Remember: this is a family friendly show!

For safety reasons the following isn’t allowed: projectiles of any kind (darts, pellets, or even water), aerosol spray, pyrotechnics like fire, smoke, or fireworks.

No mess is to be left on stage after your presentation.

No specific audio will be played for each contestant.

Violators of any of these rules may be disqualified from the contest.

Contestants will be judged in the following criteria: Workmanship, Overall Appearance, Originality, and Stage Presence.

Surprise the audience! Surprise the judges! But do not surprise the Contest Organizer. Anything you want to do to captivate the

audience/judges should be given the OK by the Contest Organizer and above all HAVE FUN!

For the Kids Contests, we have prize packs filled with goodies for each age grouping.  That's 0-4, 5-9, 10-12 and a separate Best in Show prize pack!

For the Adults, we have prizes for each of three divisions. That’s Novice, Intermediate, Master, and a separate prize for Best in Show!

The BIGGEST show in the smallest state!
